Words most often used to describe Malfatto generally fall in the "negative" category. Cruel, heartless, a monster, and even slightly insane. He uses sarcasm and a sharp tongue to speak to most people and always holds himself above all others - a superiority complex, if you will. Perhaps the most surprising description of him would be "professional" though, and this is as true as the claims to his insanity. When he can keep control of his own mental problems, he is probably the singularly most professional and skilled person you will ever meet in his field of study. Unless his employer, Cesare Borgia, says anything different of a particular patient, Malfatto will try to treat you with the utmost professionalism even if he is rude about it. Now, say you anger him yourself, well don't be surprised if your take home medicine will give you explosive diarrhea for days.

He is often seen wielding an exquisitely crafted silver syringe full of a bright, toxic unknown substance which he drives through the heart, neck, or stomach. Occasionally he was brandish the sharp cadaver knife to slice open a unknowing throat but truly prefers his syringe over risking getting blood on his robes. Generally, he sticks to the shadows and preys from on-high when he must - he is notorious for pulling people in to a dark alley way to poison them or rip them apart.
History:
Born the oldest of several siblings, Malfatto always found himself taking care of his rowdy younger brothers in the absence of their parents. Cuts, bruises, split lips, black eyes - whatever pain found its way to his family, he was the go to child to take care of it and thus by 16 he had more of a basic understanding of the human body than most people have even after proper studying. His parents realized he had a spark, a knack for this kind of thing. Barely making enough to scrape by in the slums of Rome, the entire family worked for three years to save up enough to send Malfatto away on a "medicinal journey" to become the best doctor Rome had ever seen. In 1481 he was sent away and just four years later he returned but was a very different man. A... crueler man.
Whatever had happened to him those four years he was away, whatever he had seen, had twisted the once thoughtful, bright eyed child who wanted to help mankind in to a dark monster who wanted nothing more than to tear the unfortunate apart. What he lost in innocence and love he gained in cruelty and insanity. What couldn't be denied though was his skill and vast knowledge of what he had been sent out for. He was the best doctor Rome would see but also the most insane.
He kept his killing sprees small for several years. Acting like a normal doctor by day he managed to run a small clinic he bought out on his return. While it only handles a few patients at a time they get the best quality attention any one doctor can give to a single patient. But at night he prowls, preying on the unaware. He uses a poison that renders your limbs heavy and unreceptive so you can't flee. A simple gag to muffle the screams and then the blood, oh the blood - everywhere! Crimson droplets like rain on the ground, organs squishing under groping hands. All you can do is beg for a quick death, but no, you'll be alive to see your very heart ripped from its protective cage and crushed between leather covered fingers.
For nearly a decade he killed like that. Disposing of corpses in various bodies of water or simply taking them back to his clinic, claiming he was going to do research on them to help find better cures for various illnesses. He would of been happy to continue to be like this, until one day he received a summons by Cesare Borgia. The man had found out his disgusting little secret but in return for his silence to the authorities Malfatto would work for him. Of course he jumped all over the offer and made a deal with a man that had as much blood on his hands as himself. Continue to practice medicine and divulge in his own sick ways at the cost of killing on contracts? Why, he wasn't complaining at all.
Things You Might Want To Know:
- Malfatto's clinic is a two story building, patient area on the ground floor and his own personal living quarters upstairs.
- Contrary to popular belief, he does have a face, he just doesn't like people to see it.
- He is quite the avid painter in his free "not insane" time.
